Heard about this last month, not a Star Wars geek but it does sound kinda cool.

sounds good but how did those 6 people survive while everyone else died from the disease?

They were not on that ship during the out brake, their where just looking for a safe port and had no idea what was waiting for them (ala Dead Space)

well actually I just finished the book and they go there to get parts to fix there ship but then they get infected....and the reason everyone is not infected is because some of them have a natural amunity to it. except if they get bitten.
